As of July 1, 2011, dues for Members and Associates increased to $185. All new members after this date are provided with a complimentary 12-month subscription to ASHRAE Handbook Online, since they will not receive their print or CD Handbook until June, 2012. The new members and associates will receive an email message with instructions on how to access their complimentary Handbook Online subscription. This is a one-time benefit for new members, and at the end of their subscription, they will be prompted to renew to the Handbook Online at the $49 member rate. If you have accessed the online handbook, let me know what you think.
We also have a few people who are delinquent in paying their membership. I will be contacting these members to give a friendly reminder to renew. If you have received a membership renewal notice in the last few months, please check if you have paid. If you are planning on not renewing, please let me know the reason.

Our February meeting is our second combination Membership Promotion Night / Student Night. In order to encourage new members to ASHRAE Saskatoon, all guests will be charged only $10 for supper. Please invite a colleague / co-worker, and show them what ASHRAE is about. Our speaker for the evening is an ASHRAE Distinguished Lecturer, Tim McGinn, from Cohos Evamy in Calgary. I would like to welcome the following people who have joined ASHRAE as new members: Michael Claassen, and Todd Cruthlow. If you know these members, please invite them to come out to our meetings, and introduce them to everyone else. If you meet them, make them feel welcome at our meetings. If anyone you know is interested in joining ASHRAE, please let me know, and we can sign them up.
Our 2010-2011 roster is ready for pick-up! This includes all of the ASHRAE members assigned to Saskatoon.
We also have a few people who are delinquent in paying their membership. I will be contacting these members to give a friendly reminder to renew. If you have received a membership renewal notice in the last few months, please check if you have paid. If you are planning on not renewing, please let me know the reason.
The role of Membership Promotion is to ensure you are getting your money’s worth of your membership in ASHRAE. ASHRAE is here because of you, and we are here for you. If there is anything with which you would like some help, or member benefits you would like to see, please let me know.
