Hello!  We are approaching the end of another ASHRAE year.  I hope it has been a good year for everyone.  The new 2012 HVAC Systems and Equipment handbook will be sent out around May 28th.  Everyone should receive their handbook by the end of June.  The membership dues for renewals after July 1st will be increased to $190.  If you renew by June 30th, you can save $5.  Please also pay for the local dues, and consider donating to ASHRAE Research along with your renewal.  There is also an option to purchase either the two or the three year membership.

ASHRAE has published a new website, ASHRAE wiki ( www.ashraewiki.org), which contains common definitions for terms found in ASHRAE standards and other publications.  It contains over 6,000 terms related to buildings with a particular focus on mechanical, envelope, electrical, lighting, load calculations, design, water design/conservation and energy use and measurement metrics.

Did you know:
The ASHRAE website has links to preview (for free!) Standard 62.1-2010, Standard 62.2-2010, Standard 90.1-2010, Standard 90.2-2007, and Standard 189.1-2011?
All of the current standard addenda are available to review?
The Advanced Energy Design Guide series recently published the 10 volume, dealing with 50% Energy Savings for Large Hospitals?  These are available for free download!  Do you have your copies?
You can get the corrections to the previous handbooks? (http://www.ashrae.org/resources--publications/handbook)
