The vote is coming!  Yes, this next meeting (April 13), we vote for our new President, VP, Treasurer, and Secretary.  I am excited!  I might get to be the new president of our chapter.  Alternately, we might get someone who would be an even better president than I would be and either of those options is good.  We also have a tour of the U of S Heating Plant and there should be more details on that in this newsletter.  Please bring a vehicle (if practical) and arrive before 6:00 because about half of us need to head over to the Heating Plant for the first group’s tour.

This year, Regina is hosting the CRC (Chapters Regional Conference) May 5-8.  If you have never gone to a CRC, then I would suggest going to this one (or Saskatoon’s CRC whenever we host it next).  This is a chance to make contacts from B.C. to Manitoba (and some states), go to a HVAC&R (Heating, Ventilating, Air-Conditioning, and Refrigeration) trade show, attend a HVAC&R seminar, and be a part of ASHRAE in something larger than just the Saskatoon chapter.

My year as being VP / Programs Chair is almost up and, I must say, it’s been fun.  I have been very glad I could bring in Travis Harbicht to speak on ventilation and refrigeration in a mining context and the discussion panel for student night was fun too.  If you have any great ideas for programs for next year, then please let me or whoever is next year’s Programs Chair know. □
