January Meeting

posted Jan 2, 2018, 6:50 AM by ASHRAE Saskatoon Vice President

Hello Everyone,

On Tuesday, Jan 9th we will be having our ASHRAE Meeting at the Park Town Hotel.  Cocktails will begin at 5:30, dinner to follow at 6:00, and the meeting and presentation will begin at 7:00.  This month, we will be having a presentation from Greg Reeves on Gas Detection Basics.

Greg Reeves is President of Arjay Engineering Ltd,  a Canadian manufacturer of process and environmental controls.  Arjay’s gas detection division has been involved with designing and applying gas detection systems to HVAC applications for over 35 years.

This presentation will review the basics of gas detection as it applies to HVAC applications.  A quick review the various gas sensing technologies will provide an understanding to the pros and cons of various sensor styles and where they are best suited.   This will lead to a review of what gases should be targeted in specific applications and what regulations may apply.    A look at monitoring hardware and building interface will then complete the overall cycle from sensing the gas to alarm and ventilating it.

Please RSVP by Friday Jan 5th.

Regards,

Arron Andrusiak

ASHRAE Saskatoon Vice President
