Chris Conley of Daniels Wingerak Engineering Ltd. will be our guest speaker at our February meeting. He will be doing a presentation on High Performance Building Design that he incorporated into the Cameco Operations Center, located in our own city of Saskatoon. He has won an ASHRAE award on his design of this building. He has also presented this design at the 2011 ASHRAE show in Las Vegas, NV.

A little about Chris and his topic:

Chris Conley, former ASHRAE Saskatoon President (2009-2010) will be presenting on ‘Active Chilled Beams: A Case Study Comparing Modeled Performance to Actual Performance’. This presentation was prepared with the Radiant Cooling technical committee and was presented at ASHRAE’s Winter Meeting in Las Vegas in 2011. The presentation discusses the design of the Cameco Operations Center, an award winning high performance building. Active chilled beams, as well as the rest of the mechanical system will be discussed. The comparison of the modeled performance of the building to the actual performance of the building gives some interesting insights.

Come on out to the local meeting for a great meal, meeting, and presentation.

See you there!
