On Tuesday, April 10th we will be having our ASHRAE Meeting at the Park Town Hotel.  Cocktails will begin at 5:30, dinner to follow at 6:00, and the meeting and presentation will begin at 7:00.  This month we have Adam Meddaugh presenting “The Game Has Changed: Why Air Cooled Chiller Are No Longer the Efficiency Underdog”.

Adam Meddaugh is the Regional Equipment Sales Manager for northeast US and eastern Canada, and is responsible for all Daikin Applied equipment sales within this region.  He has over 20 years of experience in applied HVAC, including chiller manufacturing, chilled water design, critical environments and building management systems.  Adam holds a BSME from Clarkson University, an MBA from Syracuse University and is a LEED Accredited Professional.  He has also served on several local ASHRAE Board positions including President, and on several AHRI committees and subcommittees.

This presentation will cover recent developments in air-cooled chiller technology have changed the game for efficient chiller plant design.  Air-cooled chillers have long been a cost effective option for chilled water plant design and have also been able to address some of the more challenging aspects of water cooled chiller plants, such as mechanical room space and cooling tower maintenance.  Air-cooled chillers today offer these advantages, as well as greatly enhanced application flexibility and efficiency that rival the most efficient water-cooled designs.  This discussion will focus on the advancements in air-cooled chiller technology, and how building owners and designers have options today that challenge the status quo.

Please RSVP by Friday April 6th.
