April 2015

Hi everyone,

This month we are pleased to have Greg Scrivener give a presentation on "Navigating Future Refrigerants". Major changes are looming in the refrigeration industry.  This presentation will help clarify the daunting mess of changing codes, standards and regulation that are turning ammonia, CO2, hydrocarbons, 2Ls and other ultra-low GWP refrigerants into the next generation refrigerants.

Greg is a refrigeration consultant for Cold Dynamics, where he specializes in energy optimization and performance verification of large commercial and industrial refrigeration plants.  He holds a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Saskatchewan and is Journeyperson Refrigeration Mechanic and a licensed gas fitter.  His experience covers most aspects of design, construction, operation and maintenance of commercial and industrial refrigeration systems.  Greg is currently a member of ASHRAE Standard 15, TC 10.1, 10.2 and 10.5 and he is actively involved in the IIAR (International Institute of Ammonia Refrigeration) and the IIR (International Institute of Refrigeration).

Please join us Tuesday, April 14 in the south dining room of the Parktown Hotel at 5:30pm.  See you then!
