SRC contest to help a SK business track greenhouse gas emissions, improve energy efficiency

posted Sep 7, 2011, 10:08 AM by ASHRAE Saskatoon

Saskatchewan businesses can now measure their impact on the environment through a new carbon footprinting service offered by the Saskatchewan Research Council (SRC) that helps calculate greenhouse gas emissions. The carbon footprinting service also goes beyond calculating emissions by helping companies plan to reduce their emissions and improve the energy efficiency of their buildings and operations.

To encourage businesses to consider their greenhouse gas emissions, or carbon footprint, SRC is holding the Carbon Cup contest. One lucky business will get a free carbon footprint assessment worth up to $25,000.

Businesses with an office in Saskatchewan can enter a draw for the free assessment by sending an email to footprint@src.sk.ca telling SRC why they want to track their carbon footprint in 100 words or less.

For more information on the Carbon Cup contest and SRC’s carbon footprinting service, visit www.src.sk.ca/footprint, email footprint@src.sk.ca, or call Monique Wismer, SRC’s carbon footprint expert at 306-933-5400.
